  • "This coupon can’t be applied": This can happen if the item isn’t eligible, for example if it’s outside the qualifying categories or Item Origin: Japan.

Where can I learn more about upcoming promotions?

Do items shipped from Japan qualify for the discount?
No. The coupon can’t be applied to items that are shipped from Japan (Item Origin: Japan).
Why isn’t the code working even though the promo starts today?
The Promotion Window follows Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). If it’s not working yet, it may not have started in your local time.
  • PDT: 12:00 AM
  • MDT: 1:00 AM
  • CDT: 2:00 AM
  • EDT: 3:00 AM
Can I use the code on more than one purchase?
No. The promo code can be redeemed one (1) time, and the coupon is for one single purchase.
How long is the coupon active?
The coupon expires two (2) days after it’s issued to your account. If you want to avoid it expiring before you check out, consider applying the code when you’re closer to completing your purchase. You can usually confirm the expiration in your wallet or coupon details.

Does the coupon work on pending Offers?

Can I combine this coupon with other coupons?
No. The promo code and coupon can’t be combined with other coupons.

Mercari FAQs

How do Offers work on Mercari?
Offers let you propose a lower price to a seller. The seller can accept, counter, or decline.
  • If your Offer is accepted, you’ll be prompted to complete checkout.
  • If the seller counters, you can accept or send a new Offer.
  • Tip for collectors: If you’re on a deadline (like a comeback or gift date), send a quick message after you make an Offer.
Can I bundle multiple K-pop items to save on shipping?
Yes, bundling helps you save on shipping when buying multiple items from the same seller.
  • Look for a bundle option in the cart or ask the seller to create a bundle listing.
  • For photocards, bundles are great for sets, album inclusions, or multiple members.
  • Always double-check the listing photos and what’s included in the bundle before purchasing.
How do I know if a seller is trustworthy?
Start with the basics:
  • Check ratings and reviews (recent feedback matters most).
  • Review photos carefully: front/back shots, clear lighting, and close-ups for corners/edges.
  • Read the description for condition notes (scratches, dents, album pull vs. trade).
  • If you’re unsure, message the seller for additional photos or details before buying.
What should I look for when buying photocards?
Photocards can vary a lot in condition. Before you buy:
  • Look for front + back photos and corner/edge close-ups.
  • Check for surface scratches, corner wear, indentations, or print lines.
  • Confirm whether it’s a set, a single, or includes freebies/sleeves/toploaders.
When will my order ship and how do I track it?
After you purchase, the seller will ship and you’ll get tracking once it’s scanned by the carrier.
  • You can view tracking in your order details.
  • For small items like photocards, the first scan can take a bit depending on the drop-off method.
  • If tracking hasn’t updated for a while, you can message the seller from the order page.
What happens after delivery and how do ratings work?
Once your item is delivered, you’ll be asked to rate the transaction. Ratings help the community and finalize the order.
  • Buyers rate sellers based on accuracy, packaging, and overall experience.
  • Sellers rate buyers too (communication and smooth transaction).
  • If there’s an issue, review your options in the order flow before rating.
I’m new to selling. What’s the fastest way to list K-pop items?
Keep it simple and searchable:
  • Use clear photos (front/back + close-ups for corners).
  • Add keywords like group, member, album/era, and version.
  • Be transparent about condition and what’s included.
  • Price based on similar sold listings if you’re unsure.
How should I package photocards and small inclusions?
Good packaging = fewer issues and happier buyers.
  • Common collector standard: sleeve → toploader → team bag.
  • Add cardboard support for bundles or multiple cards.
  • Prevent rubbing by keeping cards snug and protected.
  • Many buyers appreciate a quick note in the description about how you package.
Should I ship photocards in a bubble mailer or a First-Class Envelope?
It depends on the item value and how much protection you need.
  • First-Class Envelope (most cost-effective): Best for low-value photocards. Mercari First-Class Envelopes include up to $20 in Shipping Protection, so we recommend using this only if your item is $20 or less.
  • Know the risk: Envelopes are processed by USPS machines, so there’s a risk of bending/curving in transit.
  • Protect your card: Use a penny sleeve and a toploader (one card per toploader). For envelopes, keep packaging flat and avoid “lumps.”
  • Bubble mailer (more protection): Consider a bubble mailer (package shipping) for higher-value cards, thicker bundles, or anything you’d be upset to see bent.
  • Pro tip: If you’re a buyer and you want extra protection, message the seller before purchasing to confirm how they plan to pack it.
