Promotional Shipping Rate Full Terms & Conditions
These Promotional Shipping Rate Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern Mercari’s limited-time promotional shipping rates (the “Promotion”). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as Mercari’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all other applicable Mercari policies.
The Promotion includes two separate promotional offer periods. The $4.99 UPS/FedEx promotional rate is valid from February 16, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time through April 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “$4.99 Offer Period”). The $0.49 USPS First-Class envelope promotional rate is valid from February 16, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time through December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “$0.49 Offer Period” and, together with the $4.99 Offer Period, the “Offer Periods”). During the applicable Offer Period, eligible Mercari users may receive discounted promotional shipping rates on qualifying listings that use Mercari prepaid shipping labels, as described below. The Promotion is available only on the Mercari U.S. marketplace and is void where prohibited. If a listing that is eligible for a promotional shipping rate is sold prior to the end of the applicable Offer Period, the listing will still be eligible for that promotional shipping rate even if shipped after the applicable Offer Period ends.
To qualify for the Promotion, a listing must be either (a) a new listing created on Mercari during the applicable Offer Period, or (b) a listing created prior to the applicable Offer Period that is updated and saved during the applicable Offer Period (including, where applicable, being duplicated or relisted) such that it qualifies under these Terms (each, a “Qualifying Listing”). All listings must comply with Mercari’s Terms of Service, Prohibited Items Policy, Shipping Policy, and any other applicable rules or guidelines. Mercari reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a listing meets the eligibility requirements for the Promotion.
During the $4.99 Offer Period, Qualifying Listings that use a Mercari UPS or FedEx prepaid shipping label (Mercari Best Rates: UPS Ground Saver or FedEx Economy) in the 1–5 lb weight classes for shipments 1 cu ft / 22″ longest side or smaller may receive a $4.99 promotional shipping rate per label. This promotional rate applies only to the specified 1–5 lb weight classes and only where these Mercari Best Rates labels are available as a shipping option on Mercari. Promo pricing does not apply to UPS Ground or FedEx Home Delivery labels. Where available, the $4.99 rate may apply to both buyer-paid and seller-paid shipping, subject to Mercari’s standard shipping options and configuration at the time of listing and shipment.
During the $0.49 Offer Period, Qualifying Listings that use an eligible First-Class envelope via a Mercari First-Class envelope prepaid label for trading cards and paper collectibles up to 3 oz may receive a $0.49 promotional shipping rate per label. This promotional rate applies only to shipments that meet the applicable weight, format, and service requirements for eligible First-Class envelopes and is available only where such labels are offered as a shipping option on Mercari.
Promotional shipping rates are applied automatically at the time a qualifying Mercari prepaid label is purchased for an eligible transaction during the applicable Offer Period. No promo code, enrollment, or separate activation is required. If a listing, shipment, or label does not meet all eligibility requirements set forth in these Terms, standard Mercari prepaid label rates will apply.
After April 16, 2026, the $4.99 UPS/FedEx promotional rate will no longer be available, and eligible UPS Ground Saver and FedEx Economy shipments will be charged at the then-current standard Mercari prepaid label rates. After December 31, 2026, the $0.49 USPS First-Class envelope promotional rate will no longer be available, and eligible USPS First-Class envelope shipments will be charged at the then-current standard Mercari prepaid label rates.
The Promotion does not apply to local delivery or meet-up transactions, to carriers other than UPS, FedEx, or USPS, or to shipments that fall outside the specified weight, size, category, format, or service limits (for example, shipments over 5 lb for the UPS/FedEx promotional offer, shipments using UPS Ground or FedEx Home Delivery labels, or shipments over 3 oz or not sent in an eligible envelope for the First-Class envelope offer). Unless expressly stated otherwise by Mercari, the Promotion may not be combined with any other shipping discounts, promotions, or coupon offers. The Promotion is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be sold, exchanged, or refunded, except as required by law. If an order is canceled or refunded, any promotional shipping rate used for that shipment will not be returned as cash or credit beyond any applicable refund rules for labels under Mercari’s standard policies.
Standard Mercari prepaid label terms, including any applicable Shipping Protection, continue to apply to all shipments made under the Promotion. Coverage limits, claims procedures, and related conditions are governed by Mercari’s existing policies in effect at the time of shipment. Users remain responsible for proper packaging, accurate weight and dimension entry, and compliance with carrier requirements and may incur additional fees.
Mercari reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny, revoke, or reverse the benefit of any promotional shipping rate in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Promotion, or in the event of any violation of Mercari’s Terms of Service or other policies. Mercari may modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion, or update these Terms, at any time and in its sole discretion, where permitted by law. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and any other communication or description of the Promotion, these Terms will govern with respect to the Promotion.
By participating in the Promotion, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to all other terms, policies, and guidelines referenced herein.
